June 7 2010 Jupiter ingresses into Aries

On June 7 2010 Jupiter leaves the sign of its exaltation in Pisces and enters the sign of fiery Aries. In Pisces Jupiter is most able to manifest its positive protective role. In the sign it has what is called ‘essential dignity’ which means that it is most able to express its positive attributes. When it ingresses into Aries its expansionist nature loses its benevolent expression as it heats up, and becomes more pioneering, independent and  competitive.

June 8 Mars ingresses into Virgo

The astrological configurations this week are complicated. Mars passes through the last degree of Leo June 4-6. Mars has been called ‘the minor malefic’, and at 29 Leo it conjoins the fixed star Regulus. Mars is associated with aggravation and Regulus with royalty. In today’s world the closest equivalent we have to royalty in the United States is the presidency. Obama has indeed been aggravated and is under attack from different quarters for his handling of the oil crisis.

Obama under pressure

The oil crisis is reflected in Obama’s own horoscope with the Mars opposition Neptune configuration straddling the lunar node axis in his chart. The opposition of Mars to Neptune, the planet which represents oil, has been reflected in the build up of tensions in the Gulf of Mexico.

People are at cross purposes

Obama is in need of strong support

The crisis for the administration and Obama is amplified. Mars in Virgo makes a sextile aspect to Venus in Obama’s horoscope, and is in the sign in which Venus has ‘its fall’. Venus represents relationships and friendships. It seems Obama is in need of strong support and apparent friends may be cutting in their criticism.

The following day on June 9 Jupiter conjoins Uranus in the first degree of Aries, the singular most important cardinal degree in the 360 degree wheel of the zodiac. Jupiter magnifies the volatility of Uranus. Watch for extreme volatility in the markets. Many seasoned financial astrologers are adjusting their trading strategies to accommodate this volatility.

Crisis builds into August

Jupiter and Uranus in Aries make a very stressful alignment to the planet Venus in Obama’s horoscope, and to Venus in the horoscope for the United States, which represents the president. These 2 planets now begin their highly stressful alignment with Pluto, adding an explosive mix to a developing crisis which builds into August when this aspect perfects.

BP’s first trade horoscope suggests breakup

If you have been following the ‘first trade’ horoscope for BP, which has the Sun and Mercury at 2 degrees of Aries, and taken out a short position you would have been well rewarded. Pluto and Saturn have been squaring this point and Jupiter and Uranus will conjoin it shortly. These powerful planetary transits raise the question as to whether the company can survive in its present form. While Jupiter and Uranus raise the strong possibility, Pluto suggests transformation, Saturn a depressive mood, and Uranus some kind of break-up. I would not hold shares in this company for the long term.
